Bronte’s Basketball Team: Dragons!
April 30, 2018
What a year it has been for the Dragons, Bronte’s basketball team! Throughout the season, our Dragons worked hard to come together as a team and develop their skills. During our games, there were some 3-point shots made that wowed the crowd, blocked passes and shots, and good defensive plays. It has been a great season for our Dragons!
In addition, the Dragons attended their first Raptors game at the Air Canada Center in downtown Toronto and saw the city’s professional NBA team destroy the Brooklyn Nets. They were also invited to a special meet and greet with the Raptors 905 players, the developmental team to the Toronto Raptors. Our team members learned the importance of training, academics and committing to constant improvement from four professional athletes. Lastly, Samson, Anthony and Ayiri were selected to attend the Peel All-Star Try-Outs where they had the opportunity to play against the region’s top players.
The Dragons are a history-making team for our school. Never before has a basketball team for Bronte College scored as many points in the ROPSSAA league, and they have brought the number of overall points scored against us to an all-time low!
Congratulations Dragons, because of you, our school has a bright basketball future.
