Math/Marketing/ESL/English Teachers for China

Are you looking to gain a diverse and rewarding teaching experience in a country with an extensive history and fascinating culture? Our prestigious partner school in China is looking for a High School Teacher to teach the following subjects: ESL, Math & Marketing.

Bronte College will honour and recognize the experience earned teaching at our partner schools in China as the equivalent of teaching at Bronte College.

As a High school teacher, you will:

  • Teach ESL/English and/or Math/Marketing/ESL to motivated students
  • Offer office hours to attend to student, parent or administrative needs
  • Attend school ceremonies, department and staff meetings as required
  • Prepare teaching and learning resources as required
  • Follow school expectations and assessment criteria
  • Complete any additional duties

Requirements:

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree Minimum
  • Experience: 2 years of teaching experience required

Bus Driver

We are currently looking for a school bus driver who wants consistent and full-time hours and who can do other jobs when not driving.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operating the school bus.
  • Shuttle homestay students in the morning from the homestay to school if required.
  • Transport students using a school bus for field trips, activities, airport pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Perform general helper tasks as required (example: shovelling snow, salting sidewalks, covering front desk receptionist as needed, re-stocking vending machines, etc.)
  • Maintenance of the school bus.
  • Responsibilities on the road.
  • Environment and physical demands.
  • Zero tolerance regarding alcohol consumption during work hours.
  • Ensure that all legal documents and licenses are up-to-date.

Working Conditions:

  • Hours of work: as per schedule, holidays, evenings and weekends might be required.
  • Ability to lift or move heavy equipment or objects of 50lbs.
  • 20 to 44 hours per week.
  • Ability to handle work environment including strong odours/smell and variable temperatures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Highschool Diploma
  • Valid B or BZ driver’s license required.

Reporting:

  • This position reports in to the Transportation Manager.

Salary:

  • $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher

As a Kitchen Helper / Dishwasher you will:

  • Assist kitchen staff in food preparation before and after mealtimes.
  • Serving during meal times.
  • Aids in completing weekly inventory for order requirements.
  • Prevents the spoiling and contamination of food during meal times.
  • Assists with stewarding duties (dishwashing).
  • Cleaning of the cafeteria area prior, during, and after meal times.
  • Minimizes accidents by ensuring applicable health and safety standards are understood and applied in the conduct of all work activities.
  • Comply with company policies regarding schedules, uniforms, absenteeism, and tardiness.
  • Follow company rules and regulations.
  • Ensure a full understanding of all Bronte College policies and procedures, which pertain to your work.
  • Maintain company personal appearance and grooming standards.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Practice safety standards and report all unsafe conditions to your immediate supervisor.

Maintenance Assistant

We are currently looking for an individual who is a self-starter and is not afraid to get their hands dirty to join our Maintenance Team!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing regular inspections of all mechanical equipment, plumbing, lighting, electrical, physical walls, floors, ceilings, campus ground inspections
  • Help in performing regular inspections of fire devices as per maintenance schedule for fire protection equipment
  • Assist in maintaining HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and common areas
  • Maintenance of common grounds
  • Assist with installation, removal and storage of air conditioning units, fridges and fix plumbing problems
  • Repair furniture and assist with moving of parcels, boxes and furniture as required
  • Review security cameras as required
  • Respond to requests from staff promptly and complete duties as assigned by Senior Management
  • Update the maintenance request daily list and submit weekly reports to the Operations Manager

Working Conditions:

  • Hours of work: 37.5 per week
  • Ability to lift or move heavy equipment or objects of 50lbs
  • Ability to handle work environment including strong odors/smell and variable temperatures
  • Uniform Required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Highschool Diploma
