Summary of essential job functions:

  • Handle daily operational I.T. tasks (i.e. technical support, etc.)
  • Ensure computer systems and essential services (e.g. Internet, phone, etc.) are always working.
  • Ensure the company is kept at the front end of technology
  • Providing technical support for staff and students (mac, windows and linux).
  • Utilize in-house helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Maintain Internet connectivity, network connectivity and security.
  • Maintaining the existing school’s computer systems and network.
  • Install new updates and patches to all computer systems.
  • Perform data backup daily/weekly.
  • Review and maintain the system’s security and suggest improvements if any.
  • Monitor network traffic and Internet usage.
  • Maintain the school’s telephone system.
  • Review existing technical policies and procedures and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in research of new methodologies and procedures.
  • Presenting to and training of teachers and staff in new procedures/technologies
  • Assist with maintaining and updating the school’s websites and applications.
  • Assist the company with organizing the database system, including inventory records.
  • Maintain I.T. inventory list and recommend replacement/upgrade of equipment.
  • To complete any additional duties assigned by the Operations Manager.

Compensation: $30,000-$35,000/ year

  • Working Conditions
    • Hours of work: typically weekdays 9:00am to 5:00pm; evening and weekend hours may be required for staff meetings and systems upgrades.

     

  • Minimum Requirements
    • College degree in related field.
    • Experience with Mac environment is required.
    • Linux server experience is required.
    • Analytical and problem solving skills are also essential.
    • Well knowledgeable regarding current technology interface & information system.
    • Experience using a computer and computer applications.

Administrative Assistant

  • To ensure that parents, students and visitors receive a warm welcome to Bronte College and receive immediate attention and service when referred to the Business Office.

Job summary:

  • To welcome students requiring assistance with non-academic concerns
  • To assist with Orientation of new students during registration
  • To create or update ID cards, room cards and parking permits for students and staff

  • To ensure that all students are equipped with the proper uniform

  • To oversee the consumable and textbook ordering
  • To maintain the information in the Meal-Plan system
  • To maintain staff information: prepare and edit Staff lists, contact numbers, extensions, e-mail addresses and label staff mailboxes etc.
  • To maintain photocopier, distribute faxes
  • Prepare and distribute report cards and transcripts as required and requested.
  • Create/post/make announcements (TV, PA System, posting boards).
  • Communicate with parents – telephone, email, mailings of invitations, RSVP’s, letters, etc.
  • Participate in/take minutes at administrative meetings as required.
  • Appointment booking and scheduling for staff when necessary.
  • To prepare transcripts and documentation for graduated student
  • To cover the front desk when required
  • To complete duties as assigned by Senior Management

Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm (Mon – Fri)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Post Secondary diploma in a relevant field
  • Experience as a receptionist in a school setting or large office
  • Excellent word processing skills, experience with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent command of the English language

Abilities required:

  • Outgoing, resourceful and a team player
  • Able to multi-task and respond calmly in times of stress
  • Flexible regarding working hours

Compensation:

  • $30,000.00 – $33,000.00 per year (based on experience)

Cook (Full-Time/ Part-Time)

As a Cook, you will:

  • Rotate food refrigerators, places and stores food in clean containers.
  • Prepare food items in designated areas in accordance with standards of quality, technique, quantity control, taste and presentation as established by the Head Chef.
  • Anticipate and prepare for menu requests (e.g. special diets, allergies, etc.).
  • Responsible for meals, salad bar preparation and desserts.
  • Assist in monthly inventory counts.
  • Prevent the spoiling and contamination of food.
  • Check food for taste, smell, temperature and eye appeal.
  • Assist in inspecting the delivery of food to ensure quality and quantity.
  • Monitor refrigerated and dry storage goods inventory levels daily.

  • Participate in the nightly kitchen cleanup.

School Bus Driver (Part-Time)
Position: School Bus Driver (Part-Time)

We are currently seeking a School Bus Driver, reporting to the Operations Manager, as a School.

As a School Bus Driver (Part-Time)  your key responsibilities include:

  • Operating the school bus.
  • Maintenance of the school bus.
  • Responsibilities on the road.
  • Environment and physical demands.
  • Zero tolerance regarding alcohol consumption during work hours.
  • Ensure that all legal documents and licenses are up-to-date.
  • Shuttle homestay students in the morning from the homestay to school if required.
  • Transport students using a school bus for field trips, activities, airport pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Airport pickups and drop-offs as required.
  • Perform general helper tasks as required (example: shovelling snow, salting sidewalks, covering front desk receptionist as needed, re-stocking vending machines, etc.)
  • To complete duties as assigned by Senior Management.

Working Conditions:

  • Hours of work: as per schedule, evenings and weekends might be required.
  • Ability to lift or move heavy equipment or objects of 50lbs.
  • 20 to 44 hours per week.
  • Ability to handle work environment including strong odours/smell and variable temperatures.
  • Uniform required.

You will possess the following requirements:

  • High School diploma.
  • Valid B or BZ driver’s license required.

Schedule:

  • Part -Time Hours : 6:00am to 8:30am and 4:00pm to 6:00pm .
  • You will work 5 days a week, on a 4.5 hours a day shift
  • All bus drivers are required to work on the  Christmas, March Break, Summer Breaks and Weekends (only if needed).
