We are seeking Supply teachers for our Senior Campus in the following areas:

Ideal candidates will be available on short notice. Typically called at 6:30am for the morning of the day and 10:00am for the afternoon. Please note this is a casual position.

You will possess the following requirements:

  • Ontario Teacher Certification is an asset.
  • PYP OR MYP trained an asset.
  • Available on short notice.
  • High level of technology skills and experience with the implementation of SMART Technology.
  • Excellent command of the English language.

School Bus Driver (Part-Time)
Position: School Bus Driver (Part-Time)

We are currently seeking a School Bus Driver, reporting to the Operations Manager, as a School.

As a School Bus Driver (Part-Time)  your key responsibilities include:

  • Operating the school bus.
  • Maintenance of the school bus.
  • Responsibilities on the road.
  • Environment and physical demands.
  • Zero tolerance regarding alcohol consumption during work hours.
  • Ensure that all legal documents and licenses are up-to-date.
  • Shuttle homestay students in the morning from the homestay to school if required.
  • Transport students using a school bus for field trips, activities, airport pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Airport pickups and drop-offs as required.
  • Perform general helper tasks as required (example: shovelling snow, salting sidewalks, covering front desk receptionist as needed, re-stocking vending machines, etc.)
  • To complete duties as assigned by Senior Management.

Working Conditions:

  • Hours of work: as per schedule, evenings and weekends might be required.
  • Ability to lift or move heavy equipment or objects of 50lbs.
  • 20 to 44 hours per week.
  • Ability to handle work environment including strong odours/smell and variable temperatures.
  • Uniform required.

You will possess the following requirements:

  • High School diploma.
  • Valid B or BZ driver’s license required.

Schedule:

  • Part -Time Hours : 6:00am to 8:30am and 4:00pm to 6:00pm .
  • You will work 5 days a week, on a 4.5 hours a day shift
  • All bus drivers are required to work on the  Christmas, March Break, Summer Breaks and Weekends (only if needed).

Summer Camp Counsellor (Live In/ Live Out) 2019
Position: Summer Camp Counsellor (Live In/ Live Out) 2019

Bronte College Summer Camp offers a language study and tour program for youths aged 10 to 17 to learn English through communicative activities, watching and discussing TV shows, the news, reading and talking about current events, and practicing writing. Ensuring campers improve their English and have a safe and exciting stay is the top priority. Enjoy the sights of the Greater Toronto Area, Niagara Falls and more while developing your communication, leadership, teamwork skills.

As a Summer Camp Counsellor (Live In /Live Out), you will:

  • Ensure students are enjoying their experience in the camp.
  • Engage students in functions/trips/activities.
  • Ensure students are sleeping and waking up on time.
  • Supervise and attend functions/trips/activities as scheduled.
  • Communicate messages, rules and regulations and school policy with multicultural students.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Summer Camps Manager.

Working Conditions:

  • Hours of work: approximately 41.5 hours per week depending on the schedule;
  • normal working hours are weekdays and weekends starting in the afternoon to late evening.
  • Living on Bronte Campus in Mississauga with full meal plan is requirement.
  • 2 night overnight retreat is a requisite of this position.

Compensation:

  • Summer Camp Counsellors (LIVE ON CAMPUS)
  • $500/week+$85.25/week for Room and Board
  • Summer Camp – Counsellors (LIVE OFF CAMPUS)
  • $559/week+$25.50/week for 10 meals

Requirements:

  • University Degree or College diploma in progress.
  • Background in ESL and/or related field preferred.
  • High level of technology skills.
  • Valid G driver license preferred.
  • Available all days of the week and late nights.
  • Enjoys working in a diverse multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to speak in different languages is considered an asset.

Evening Study Hall Supervisor

Position: Evening Study Hall Supervisor

Employment type: P/T Hourly (7:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Monday to Thursday)

  • Assigned to a particular classroom and will be expected to supervise and tutor students with studying and homework.
  • Communicate with daytime teachers and Head of Academics
  • Provide and ensure a safe and friendly learning environment

Working Conditions:

  • Hours of work: 7:00 pm-9:00 pm (Monday to Thursday)

Compensation:

  • $15.00 per hour.
