Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher

As a Kitchen Helper / Dishwasher you will:

  • Assist kitchen staff in food preparation before and after mealtimes.
  • Serving during meal times.
  • Aids in completing weekly inventory for order requirements.
  • Prevents the spoiling and contamination of food during meal times.
  • Assists with stewarding duties (dishwashing).
  • Cleaning of the cafeteria area prior, during, and after meal times.
  • Minimizes accidents by ensuring applicable health and safety standards are understood and applied in the conduct of all work activities.
  • Comply with company policies regarding schedules, uniforms, absenteeism, and tardiness.
  • Follow company rules and regulations.
  • Ensure a full understanding of all Bronte College policies and procedures, which pertain to your work.
  • Maintain company personal appearance and grooming standards.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Practice safety standards and report all unsafe conditions to your immediate supervisor.
  • Keep your work area well organized and clean in order to provide fast and efficient service.

Maintenance Assistant

We are currently looking for an individual who is a self-starter and is not afraid to get their hands dirty to join our Maintenance Team!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing regular inspections of all mechanical equipment, plumbing, lighting, electrical, physical walls, floors, ceilings, campus ground inspections
  • Help in performing regular inspections of fire devices as per maintenance schedule for fire protection equipment
  • Assist in maintaining HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and common areas
  • Maintenance of common grounds
  • Assist with installation, removal and storage of air conditioning units, fridges and fix plumbing problems
  • Repair furniture and assist with moving of parcels, boxes and furniture as required
  • Review security cameras as required
  • Respond to requests from staff promptly and complete duties as assigned by Senior Management
  • Update the maintenance request daily list and submit weekly reports to the Operations Manager

Working Conditions:

  • Hours of work: 37.5 per week
  • Ability to lift or move heavy equipment or objects of 50lbs
  • Ability to handle work environment including strong odors/smell and variable temperatures
  • Uniform Required

Front Desk Receptionist

 

Summary of essential job functions

· To ensure that parents, students and visitors receive a warm welcome to Bronte College and receive immediate attention and service.

· To support the clerical needs of the Business Office and Academic Administration.

· To maintain the Front Desk as a welcoming, well organized hub of Bronte College.

Key Accountabilities/ Activities

  • To welcome and assist all visitors to the school
  • To assist students with needs during the day that will enhance their Bronte experience
  • To assist the Head of Student Governance with attendance recording in Powerschool
  • To answer phones and direct calls appropriately
  • To maintain the information in the Front Guard access control system
  • To sort all mail and deliver all non-residence mail
  • To maintain the log for parcels, packages and registered mail
  • To maintain welcome packages required for the Admissions process
  • To maintain a visitor log
  • To monitor cameras and Front Guard during from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • To maintain master key box and teacher keys
  • To maintain Master Copy of Front Desk binder
  • To post announcements (TV, posting boards)
  • To maintain a day student list for Fire Drill purposes
  • To process documentation for suspended and expelled students
  • To maintain the staff extension list
  • To maintain cleanliness of the front desk
  • To complete maintenance forms and assist with student withdrawals and student move-outs
  • To create detention list and detention slips for students
  • To maintain record for overnight stay request and blanket permission
  • To maintain late record for students from daily attendance list
  • To update Staff Vehicle List
  • To complete duties as assigned by Senior Management

Minimum Requirements

· Post-secondary education required

· Experience as a receptionist in a school setting or large office

· Excellent word processing skills, experience with Microsoft Office

· Excellent command of the English language
