The Dormitory

Your Home Away From Home.

Newly renovated, Bronte College dormitories are attached to the main school building for unrivalled comfort and safety. The majority of the rooms are for single occupancy, with some double and quad rooms available. Open during all holidays and school breaks, the dormitory houses students from all over the world, creating a vibrant living environment. The Campus Life team and our Reception and Security teams provide 24 hour supervision. Parents can rest assured with video cameras throughout the building, separate male and female floors, and defined visitor policies.

Campus Life Staff

Our Campus Life Staff is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment that will further students’ development and enhance their academic potential. Campus Life Staff support student safety and well-being, and facilitate a dynamic campus life after school and on weekends. They help lead a variety of evening sports and activities, and organize weekend trips to popular tourist attractions such as the CN Tower, Niagara Falls, and Canada’s Wonderland. Bronte College strives to make  campus life a rewarding experience for all students, resulting in lifelong friends and lasting memories.

Campus Life Program

The Campus Life Program is mandatory for students under the age of 17 years old, and includes evening activities and weekend excursions. During weekday evenings, students also attend Study Hall. These supervised study sessions ensure students complete their homework, and help to create strong study habits. Engaging activities ensure students form fast friendships and benefit from stress-relieving activities.

Health and Wellness Program

Student Health and Wellness is paramount at Bronte College. Check-in programs, workshops, and the services of a full-time nurse on campus offer a range of support services to our students, including accompaniment to doctor’s appointments and assistance completing insurance claims.

Student Dons

Our Student Dons are another important source of support after school hours. Assigned to each floor of the dormitory, Student Dons are responsible for monitoring dormitory safety, providing guidance to students in need and creating a fun and unified school environment. Students are integral to the success of Bronte’s Campus Life program and are encouraged to get involved in making their campus life experience a valuable one.

Host families are located near the campus and are an ideal way for students to get acclimated to Canadian life. We place students with a host family based on hobbies and preferences to ensure a comfortable and fulfilling experience. All Homestay host families are required to go through a comprehensive screening process, including reference checks, personal interviews, home visits and a Police Records Check.
