Enrolment/Admissions Officer

The Enrolment office is the first point of contact for prospective students and parents. Therefore, the role of the department is to provide first-class service not only in attracting new students, but also in supporting applicants throughout the admissions process right up until the student’s first day at Bronte College.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the admissions process from initial enquiry through to the student’s first day
  • Ensure an excellent customer experience is provided
  • Carry out the policies and procedures for recruiting and admitting students with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain and improve systems for admitting and tracking students
  • Contribute to marketing efforts

Admission Responsibilities:

  • Answer enquiries by providing clear and accurate information about Bronte College programs and the Ontario Secondary School system
  • Meet with prospective parents or other visitors, giving tours of the school and ensuring prompt and effective follow-up
  • Ensure all applications are completed, documents secured, and information entered into CRM with accuracy
  • Review and process applications, analyze transcripts, transcribe grades and issue decisions in collaboration with Head of Enrolment
  • Collect, organize, file and share documents as required
  • Schedule appointments/interviews/testing
  • Proctor testing and revise offers as required
  • Assist in the preparation and updating of the admissions handbook, admission/orientation packages, and OSR (Ontario Student Record) files
  • Assist in the organization and running of Orientation Week
  • Ensure material for recruitment partners is current and up to date

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Produce regular statistics and reports on the admissions landscape including analysis of enquiries, visits, applications, and conversions for Senior Management
  • Support Bronte College’s external relations, marketing, student recruitment and communications strategies to extend the school’s recruitment reach (locally, nationally and internationally)
  • Complete duties as assigned by the Head of Enrolment and Senior Management

Working Conditions:

  • Hours of work: 8:30am – 4:30pm (Monday to Friday)
  • Hybrid on-site and work from home

Minimum Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma or equivalent working experience
  • Clear communication skills, both oral and written, with excellent command of the English language
  • A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Fluency in a second language is desirable
  • Experience of working in an education environment is desirable

Reporting:

  • This position reports in to the Head of Enrolment.

Salary:

  • $38,000 to $42,000

Math and Marketing Teacher for China

Are you looking to gain a diverse and rewarding teaching experience in a country with an extensive history and fascinating culture?

Our prestigious partner school in China is looking for a High School Teacher to teach the following subjects: Math & Marketing.

Bronte College will honour and recognize the experience earned teaching at our partner schools in China as the equivalent of teaching at Bronte College.

As a High school teacher, you will:

  • Teach Math and Marketing to motivated students
  • Offer office hours to attend to student, parent or administrative needs
  • Attend school ceremonies, department and staff meetings as required
  • Prepare teaching and learning resources as required
  • Follow school expectations and assessment criteria
  • Complete any additional duties

Requirements:

  • Relocation to China is required as this is an in-person teaching role
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree Minimum
  • Experience: 2 years of teaching experience required
  • Certificates: Teaching Credentials/License
  • Experience using a computer and computer applications required
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Other languages are an asset
  • Enjoys working in a diverse multi-cultural environment

Bus Driver

We are currently looking for a school bus driver who wants consistent and full-time hours and who can do other jobs when not driving.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operating the school bus.
  • Shuttle homestay students in the morning from the homestay to school if required.
  • Transport students using a school bus for field trips, activities, airport pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Perform general helper tasks as required (example: shovelling snow, salting sidewalks, covering front desk receptionist as needed, re-stocking vending machines, etc.)
  • Maintenance of the school bus.
  • Responsibilities on the road.
  • Environment and physical demands.
  • Zero tolerance regarding alcohol consumption during work hours.
  • Ensure that all legal documents and licenses are up-to-date.

Working Conditions:

  • Hours of work: as per schedule, holidays, evenings and weekends might be required.
  • Ability to lift or move heavy equipment or objects of 50lbs.
  • 20 to 44 hours per week.
  • Ability to handle work environment including strong odours/smell and variable temperatures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Highschool Diploma
  • Valid B or BZ driver’s license required.

Reporting:

  • This position reports in to the Transportation Manager.

Salary:

  • $17.00-$19.00 per hour
