Extra-Curricular

Beyond the Classroom.

At Bronte College, we prioritize Health and Wellness. Our Extracurricular activities program provides opportunities for students to learn new skills in a supportive and enthusiastic environment. With Athletics, clubs, off-campus trips and excursions, tournaments, and community events, students can develop crucial leadership skills that extend beyond the classroom. Our commitment to fostering unconventional leadership empowers our students to inspire and thrive.

Athletics

Students enjoy access to an onsite fitness centre and a gymnasium. Sports clubs include badminton, table tennis, cross-country and track and field, soccer, basketball and volleyball. Nearby community facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, skating arenas and tennis courts. As a member of ROPSSAA (Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association), the Bronte Dragons compete with other area schools at a varsity level in a variety of sports.

Clubs

Offered each day after school, students can choose from a variety of fun and engaging clubs supervised by our staff. Each semester, students can try something new; options may include cooking, art, games, robotics, fitness, dance, yearbook, debate, science, entrepreneurship, food committee, wellness, and many more! Join the Student Athletic Council and get involved in the planning and running of social activities and holiday events.

House Teams

Each Bronte College student belongs to a Colour House team; these teams foster a sense of belonging and comradery among students while encouraging collaboration and teamwork. Exciting events throughout the year such a school Olympics, spirit days, and community activities enhance school spirit, promote responsibility and create long-lasting friendships.

Off-Campus Trips

Interested in visiting some of the Greater Toronto Area’s best tourist attractions? Join our Campus Life team on an adventure – Niagara Falls, Canada’s Wonderland, the CN Tower – each month our staff plan one or more special excursions to ensure students have the opportunity to see all that our cities have to offer!  Students also enjoy trips to many university campuses; an excellent opportunity to explore university campuses, participate in workshops, and speak with university representatives. Supervision and transportation included.

Overnight Adventures

Our students enjoy many opportunities throughout the year to travel farther afield. Possibilities include camping trips in the beautiful Muskoka region, a trip to Ottawa our country’s capital, and Quebec City, French speaking and North America’s last walled city.
