Ambrose — Tackled AI Ethics on the Global Stage and Earned $15k in Scholarships

April 24, 2025

Our Grade 12 student, Ambrose, recently participated in the Change the World Model United Nations 2025 (CWMUN) in New York City, joining over 10,000 students worldwide to tackle urgent global challenges. As a delegate in the Social, Humanitarian & Cultural Issues Committee, Ambrose engaged in high-level debates on “How AI Affects Human Rights and Liberties,” addressing ethical dilemmas and threats to democratic freedoms. His articulate advocacy for human-centered AI governance—balancing innovation with equity—earned praise from peers and mentors.

Ambrose’s participation in this prestigious international forum highlighted his talent for diplomacy and critical thinking. At CWMUN, a platform where future leaders collaborate with policymakers and experts, he emphasized the need for inclusive policies that protect human dignity in the digital age. His contributions underscored the event’s mission to foster global citizenship and sustainable solutions, aligning with our school’s commitment to nurturing socially conscious leaders.

Beyond his Model UN success, Ambrose’s academic excellence and dedication to community service have secured him over $15,000 in scholarships from top universities, including the University of Toronto and York University. His journey proved how curiosity, empathy, and ambition can propel students to global stages and inspire meaningful change. We celebrate Ambrose as a testament to the bright futures our students are building.
