Bronte College raises $3760 for the Canadian Cancer Society
April 26, 2017
Throughout the past month, Bronte College has been raising money for the annual Relay for Life, with funds going towards cancer research through the Canadian Cancer Society. With a goal of $3500, students generously donated their time to raise awareness and collect donations. The month-long fundraising campaign ended with a fun day of events on Saturday, April 22nd. The residence staff hosted a lot of fun outdoor activities for the students, as well as some meaningful ceremonies indoors to honour people they know who are survivors, struggling with, or lost their lives to cancer.
After a fun day, the students counted up the donations and realized they had exceeded their initial goal, raising a total of $3760 to the Canadian Cancer Society! Congratulations to everyone who participated, we hope you are as proud of yourselves as we are of you!
