Bronte College’s Duke of Edinburgh Gold and Silver students recently completed their Adventurous Journey challenge at Thistlestone Farm from May 10-13. Over the course of three nights, students immersed themselves in outdoor experiential learning while developing teamwork, independence, and resilience.

Guided by farm owner Keith, students gained valuable insight into local wildlife, the agriculture industry, and the importance of co-existence between farm animals and surrounding ecosystems. As part of the challenge, Gold students completed a 6 km hike while Silver students completed a 3 km hike across a variety of natural landscapes.

The Adventurous Journey provided students with an opportunity to step outside the classroom, strengthen leadership skills, and connect with nature through meaningful, hands-on experiences.
