Bronte College Food Committee End of Year Surprise

On Friday, June 8th we surprised our Food Committee members with a special thank you gift. Each member was presented a custom made t-shirt for all of their hard work throughout the year. They have been working hard with our kitchen staff in introducing new dishes to our students by hosting many cultural dinners! Each cultural dinner was an opportunity for our Bronte students to learn about a new culture as well as, taste new dishes from different countries.
In addition to hosting cultural dinners, our Food Committee raised awareness through creating an informative video on reducing food waste. They encouraged our students to consume their food more wisely. They also hosted a food drive for the Mississauga Food Bank during the month of May. At the end of the fundraising campaign, our students have generously donated 22 boxes worth of food! All the food will provide nutritious meals for thousands of families in the Mississauga community.
