Exploring Careers in Physiotherapy
On April 10th, Bronte was pleased to welcome guest speaker Mr. Kenneth Ong, who shared valuable insights into the field of physiotherapy with our students.
Kenneth completed his degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University and earned a Master’s in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto. As a practicing physiotherapist, he brought real-world experience into the classroom, helping students better understand both the academic pathway and professional expectations of the field.
During the session, students learned about the journey to becoming a physiotherapist, including required education and training, as well as day-to-day responsibilities in the profession. The discussion also explored career opportunities in physical therapy, rehabilitation, and sports medicine.
A highlight of the session was the practical component, where students were introduced to injury prevention strategies and techniques such as ankle taping. This hands-on element allowed students to connect theory with real-world application.
At Bronte, we are committed to supporting students through meaningful learning opportunities and exposure to a wide range of career pathways.
